Zambia

Lusaka is the capital and largest city of Zambia. It is one of the fastest-developing cities in southern Africa. Lusaka is in the southern part of the central plateau at an elevation of about 1,279 metres (4,196 ft). As of 2019, the city's population was about 3.3 million, while the urban population is estimated at 2.5 million in 2018.

Kitwe is the third largest city in terms of infrastructure development and second largest city in terms of size and population in Zambia. With a population of 661,901 as of the 2022 census, Kitwe is one of the most developed commercial and industrial areas in the nation, alongside Ndola and Lusaka. It has a complex of mines on its north-western and western edges.

Ndola is the third largest city in Zambia in terms of size and population, with a population of 627,503, after the capital, Lusaka, and Kitwe, and the second largest in terms of infrastructure development after Lusaka. It is the industrial and commercial center of the Copperbelt, Zambia's copper-mining region, and capital of Copperbelt Province.

Chipata is a city and administrative centre of the Eastern Province of Zambia and Chipata District. It was declared the 5th city of the country, after Lusaka, Ndola, Kitwe and Livingstone, by President Edgar Lungu on 24 February 2017. The city has undergone rapid economic and infrastructure growth in the years, leading up to city status.

Luanshya is a town in Zambia, in the Copperbelt Province near Ndola. It has a population of 212,864. The town is situated in an area which was under Chief Mushili of the Lamba people.

Kabwe is the capital of the Zambian Central Province and the Kabwe District, with a population estimated at 288,598 at the 2022 census. Named Broken Hill until 1966, it was founded when lead and zinc deposits were discovered in 1902. Kabwe also has a claim to being the birthplace of Zambian politics as it was an important political centre during the colonial period.

Livingstone is a city in Southern Province, Zambia. Lying 10 km (6 mi) to the north of the Zambezi River, it is a tourist attraction due to its proximity to the Victoria Falls and its road and rail connections to Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, the resort town on the opposite side of the falls.

Chingola is a town in Zambia's Copperbelt Province, the country's copper-mining region, with a population of 256,560. It is the home of Nchanga Copper Mine, a deep-shaft high-grade content copper mining operation, which subsequently led to the development of two open pit operations, Chingola Open Pit and then Nchanga Open Pit.

Mufulira is a town in the Copperbelt Province of Zambia. Mufulira means "Place of Abundance and Peace". The town developed around the Mufulira Copper Mine in the 1930s. The town also serves as the administrative capital of Mufulira District.

Kasama is a town in the Northern Province of Zambia. It serves as the provincial capital and the headquarters of Kasama District.
