Rwanda, officially the Republic of Rwanda, is a landlocked country in East Africa. Known as the "Land of a Thousand Hills" for its high elevation and rolling terrain, its geography is dominated by mountains in the west and savanna in the southeast.

Kigali, officially the City of Kigali also known as Kigali City, is the capital, largest city, and a province-level administrative unit of Rwanda. It is located near the country's geographic centre, in a landscape of rolling hills marked by valleys and ridges connected by steep slopes. As Rwanda's primate city, Kigali is a relatively young urban centre.
Muhanga is a city in Rwanda, in the Muhanga District, in Southern Province. The city is situated 5,945 feet (1,812 m) above sea level.
Musanze is a sector, located in the district of the same name, in Northern Province, Rwanda, with a population of 47,720.
Rubavu District is one of the seven districts in Western Province, Rwanda, with a total surface area of 388.4 km2. Its administrative capital is Gisenyi, a vibrant lakeside resort town and border city on Lake Kivu, directly across from Goma in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Karongi is a district in Western Province, Rwanda. The district's capital is Rubengera. However, it comprises Kibuye, provincial capital and a major Rwandan lakeside resort. It is one of the districts with the lowest population density of 380 inhabitants per square kilometre (980/sq mi) as of the 2022 census.
Gicumbi is a district in Northern Province, Rwanda. Its capital is Byumba, which is also the provincial capital.
Rusizi is a district in Western Province, Rwanda. Its capital is Kamembe, the major city of the Rwandan south-west and the district contains large parts of the former Cyangugu Province.
Ngoma is a district (akarere) in Eastern Province, Rwanda. Its capital is Kibungo.
Nyanza, also known as Nyabisindu, is a town located in Nyanza District in the Southern Province of Rwanda. Nyanza is the capital of the Southern Province.
