Gasherbrum I

In 1934, a large international expedition explored Gasherbrum I and II, with two climbers reaching 6,300 m (20,670 ft).

Reinhold Messner and Peter Habeler made the first ascent of Gasherbrum I in pure alpine style in 1975.

Marie-José Vallençant became the first woman to reach the summit of Gasherbrum I in 1982.

In 2012, Adam Bielecki and Janusz Gołąb made the first winter ascent of Gasherbrum I without supplementary oxygen.

In 2017, Czechs Marek 'Mára' Holeček and Zdeněk Hák established a new route named 'Satisfaction!' up the Southwest Face.
