Seeb

The 'Fort of Sibo' was part of a series of fortified cities established by the Portuguese to control access to the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman.

As-Seeb is known for being the venue where the Treaty of Seeb agreement took place on 25 September 1920.

Wadi Al-Khoudh is a major tourist attraction in Seeb, popular for off-road adventurers.

In May 2023, Sultan Haitham bin Tariq inaugurated the new Sultan Haitham City in Seeb, intended to house 100,000 residents.

Seeb has a hot desert climate with very hot summers and warm winters.
