Togo, officially the Togolese Republic, is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by Ghana to the west, Benin to the east and Burkina Faso to the north. It is one of the least developed countries in the world. It extends north from the Gulf of Guinea to the Burkina Faso-Togo border.

Lomé is the capital and largest city of Togo. It has an urban population of 837,437 while there were 2,188,376 permanent residents in its metropolitan area as of the 2022 census.
Sokodé is the second largest city in Togo, with a population of about 189,000. It is a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural areas, and seat of the Tchaoudjo Prefecture and Centrale Region. It is in the center of the country, 339 kilometres (211 mi) north of Lomé, between the Mo and Mono rivers. It is a multi-ethnic and multi-religious city, but is dominated by Islam.
Kpalimé is a city in the Plateaux Region of Togo, 120 km north of Lomé and 15 km from the border with Ghana. It is the administrative capital of Kloto Prefecture. Kpalimé has a population of 75,084, making it the fourth-biggest town in Togo, after Lomé, Sokodé and Kara.
Atakpamé is the fifth largest city in Togo by population, located in the Plateaux Region of Togo. Cotton production was fostered in the area during German colonial rule.
Dapaong is a city in northern Togo and prefecture seat of Tône in the Savanes Region, of which it is the capital. It had a population of 58,071 at the 2010 Census. It is 638 km (396 mi) north of the capital Lomé, near the border with Burkina Faso. It is a market town and has a small museum.
Tchaourou etymology, meaning rattle) is a commune, arrondissement, and city located in the Borgou Department of Benin, a country in Western Africa, formerly known as Dahomey. It is the birthplace of former Beninese president Yayi Boni. It is 50 kilometres (31 mi) south of Parakou.
Mango, formerly Sansanné-Mango, is a city in northern Togo. It is situated on the Oti River in the Savanes Region. The town is located near Kéran National Park and 26 kilometres (16 mi) from the border with Ghana. The population is about 41,464 people (2007).
Tsévié is a city and canton in the Maritime Region of Togo. It is situated 32 km north of the capital Lomé and at the 2010 Census had a population of 54,474. The city is inhabited primarily by Ewe people. It is the capital of the prefecture of Zio and the Maritime Region.
Aného, previously known as Anecho, Petit Popo or Little Popo, is a town in southeastern Togo, lying on the Gulf of Guinea near the border of Benin. It is situated 45 km east of the capital Lomé, between the Atlantic Ocean and Lake Togo in Maritime Region.
