Dar es Salaam or Daresalaam is the largest city and financial hub of Tanzania and capital of the Dar es Salaam Region. It is located on the Swahili coast. With a population of over 7 million people, Dar es Salaam is the largest city in East Africa by population and the fifth-largest in Africa. Dar es Salaam remains an important economic centre and one of the fastest-growing cities in the world.
Mwanza City, also known as Rock City to the residents, is a port city and capital of Mwanza Region on the southern shore of Lake Victoria in north-western Tanzania. With an urban population of 1,104,521 and a population of 3,699,872 in the region, it is Tanzania's second largest city, after Dar es Salaam.
Arusha is a city in Tanzania. The city is the capital of the Arusha Region. It has a population of 617,631 people.
Dodoma, officially Dodoma City, is the capital city of Tanzania. With a population of 765,179 as per 2022 which is projected to reach 1,000,000 by the end of 2026, it is also the administrative capital of both Dodoma Municipal Council and the entire Dodoma Region.

Zanzibar City or Mjini District, often simply referred to as Zanzibar, is one of two administrative districts of Mjini Magharibi Region in Tanzania. The district covers an area of 15.4 km2 (5.9 sq mi). The district has a water border to the west by the Indian Ocean. The district is bordered to the east by Magharibi District. The district seat is in Stonetown.
Kigoma is a city and lake port in Kigoma-Ujiji District in Tanzania, on the northeastern shores of Lake Tanganyika and close to the border with Burundi and The Democratic Republic of the Congo. It serves as the capital for the surrounding Kigoma Region and has a population of 232,388. The city is situated at an elevation of 775 metres (2,543 ft).
