Liberia, officially the Republic of Liberia, is a country on the West African coast. It is bordered by Sierra Leone to its northwest, Guinea to its north, Ivory Coast to its east, and the Atlantic Ocean to its south and southwest.

Monrovia is the capital and largest city of Liberia, located on the Atlantic coast at Cape Mesurado in Montserrado County. It serves as the country's political, administrative, economic, and cultural center.
Gbarnga is the capital city of Bong County, Liberia, located in the north-central part of the country northeast of Monrovia. It serves as an administrative, commercial, and educational center for Bong County and the surrounding region. Cuttington University, a private Episcopal-affiliated institution, is located near the city.
Kakata is the capital and largest city of Margibi County, Liberia. It serves as the county's administrative, commercial and transportation hub and lies within Liberia's historic rubber-production belt.
Bensonville is the capital city of Montserrado County, Liberia. As of the 2008 national census, its population stood at 4,089. Bensonville is located 20 miles (32 km) away from the national capital, Monrovia, which is also located in Montserrado County. It is a commercial center for the surrounding agricultural area.
Buchanan, also previously known as Grand Bassa on some maps, is the third largest city in Liberia, lying on Waterhouse Bay, part of the Atlantic Ocean. As of the 2008 census, Buchanan had a population of 34,270. Of this, 16,984 were male and 17,286 female.
Voinjama is a small city that serves as the capital of Lofa County, Liberia and is located in the hilly, far northern part of the country near the Guinean border. As of the 2008 national census, the population stood at 26,594.
