Lobamba

Lobamba is located in the woodland 'Valley of Heaven', or Ezulwini Valley.

The royal Embo State Palace was built to house Sobhuza II and his family, which included 600 children.

The National Museum of Eswatini houses a 16th-century head of Krishna, discovered nearby, as evidence of trade with the east.

Lobamba is famous for the Reed Dance and the Incwala ceremonies, which include traditional dancing and attire.

The National Museum of Eswatini was made a non-profit institution in 1974 by the International Council of Museums.
