Kwekwe

Kwekwe's name originates from the large population of croaking frogs that populated the Kwekwe river in the early 1900s.

Kwekwe is home to the Zimbabwe Iron and Steel Company (ZISCO), the country's largest steelworks.

The National Mining Museum in Kwekwe is dedicated to the mining industry in Zimbabwe.

Dendairy, located in Kwekwe, is the only dairy company in Zimbabwe that produces UHT milk with a shelf life of up to a year.

Kwekwe has only one set of traffic lights, located just outside the city centre.
