Nicosia

Nicosia has been continuously inhabited since approximately 2500 BC.

Nicosia became the only capital city in the world with two time zones on 30 October 2016.

Ledra Street, historically known as The Murder Mile, was the busiest shopping street in the capital.

The walls of Nicosia were constructed during the Frankish rule and are well-preserved today.

The Venetian Column in Sarayönü Square was brought from the ancient city of Salamis by the Venetians in 1550.
