Baranavichy

Baranavichy was the location for the Stavka, the headquarters of the Russian General Staff, at the beginning of World War I.

In 1939, Baranavichy had almost 30,000 inhabitants, making it the biggest city in the Nowogródek Voivodeship.

The city is located at an altitude of 193 metres (633 ft) above sea level.

Baranavichy is on the main east–west highway in Belarus, the M1, which forms part of European route E30.

In October 2016, a local furniture factory opened a zoological landscape park called Dipriz, which spans 400 hectares.
