Brampton

Brampton was incorporated as a village in 1853 and became a town in 1873.

Brampton is bordered by Highway 50 to the east and Winston Churchill Boulevard to the west.

In the 2021 census, people of South Asian origin made up 52.4% of Brampton's population.

William Osler Health System employs approximately 5,000 at its Brampton Civic and Peel Memorial campuses.

The Rose Theatre opened in September 2006 and attracted over 137,000 patrons in its inaugural year.
