Doboj

Doboj has been continuously inhabited ever since the Neolithic times.

The Doboj fortress was first built in the early thirteenth century and expanded during Ottoman rule in 1490.

During World War I, Doboj was the site of the largest Austro-Hungarian concentration camp.

Doboj hosts the private Slobomir P University, which includes several colleges and specialized high schools.

The four squares in Doboj's symbol represent the four mountains marking the outer borders of the Doboj valley.
