Bijeljina

Bijeljina is located in Bosnia and Herzegovina's northeast, bound by the Sava and Drina rivers.

The oldest archeological site in Bijeljina dates from the 7th to the 12th century.

The Atik Mosque was built between 1520 and 1566 and was converted to a Catholic church during Austro-Hungarian rule.

Dvorovi Spa was formed after the discovery of thermal water while drilling for oil in 1956.

Bijeljina was designated a European City of Sport in 2020.
